Joshua Gerard- Director
Joshua has been a part of the electrical industry for 11 years, along with qualifying as an A-class electrician he also specialises in automation including both C-Bus and Dali. Joshua has had the longest tenure with Innovative Cabling, being the first tradesman brought into the company in 2016. Throughout his time at Innovative Cabling, he has undertaken multiple roles whilst helping the company develop; Automation technician, Leading Hand, Project Manager, Operations Manager and finally Director.
Since becoming Director, Joshua has had the opportunity to create a robust management structure which has enabled Innovative Cabling to confidently tender commercial projects with accuracy and then have the teams to manage and deliver completed works as desired.
Ben Pain- Estimator
Ben has 22 years of experience in the electrical industry, qualifying as an A-class electrician, he also has his master cablers data licence, Certificate 4 in project management and his Diploma in project management. Since 2006 Ben has had various roles including electrical operations manager, project manager, estimator, electrical drafting design (CAD), electrical supervisor and senior team leader. Ben has been employed at Innovative Cabling since October 2020 and is currently working as an estimator and business development manager.
David Bourn- Project Manager
David has been qualified as an A-class electrician since 2000, working in commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors. He has gained most of his experience in commercial projects, both new and renovations. David has been a Site Supervisor and Project Manager since 2010 and has been employed with Innovative Cabling since July of 2020.
Ashton Young- Project Manager
Ashton has been in the electrical industry for 12 years, qualifying as an A-class electrician, he has an open registration cabling licence and is experienced in twisted pair and coaxial and fibre. As of 2013 his roles have included an electrical tradesman, supervisor, and leading hand. He is currently a project manager, service manager and estimator.
He has quite extensive experience in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical, including works in data, AV, MATV and maintenance. He also ran his own electrical business for 3 years designing the NBN network and working on government projects with multiple crew’s interstate. He has been employed with Innovative Cabling since January of 2019.
Matthew McGuire- Renewables Manager
Matthew has been a part of the electrical industry for 8 years, along with qualifying as an A-class electrician, he has an open registration cabling licence, his security licence and solar and battery accreditations. Since 2017, Matthew has been in various roles including tradesman, a supervisor and leading hand. He has been employed with Innovative Cabling since February 2017 and is currently working as a project manager, renewables manager and estimator.
Matthews experience includes but are not limited to commercial, industrial, and residential electrical, solar and battery installations, data, AV, MATV, security installations, mechanical electrical and maintenance.
